Rapid review of evidence of the impact on health outcomes of NHS commissioned health services for people in secure and detained settings to inform future health interventions and prioritisation in England

More than 80 papers published in the peer-reviewed literature were systematically reviewed. There was a very limited number of papers identified on immigration detention or other prescribed places of detention and so the report is highly skewed to prison settings (as had also been agreed with the DH on the onset of the review). The populations studied included adult men and women, as well as children and young people.
